Tracy Powell, DVM, Owner

Tracy received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and Bachelor of Science with Honors from Cornell University. Tracy’s area of special interest is Canine Reproduction. She has assisted with the breedings of many top winning dogs. She personally breeds and shows harlequin and mantle Great Danes. Her Danes are shown in conformation, obedience, rally, and agility. They ... are therapy dogs and “animal actors”. They have appeared in commercials, advertisements, music videos, and catalogs. Her 4-legged kids include 4 Great Danes and an Ibizan hound. Besides being active with her dogs, Tracy enjoys traveling and scuba diving. Some memorable trips include diving with the whale sharks in Belize and getting up close and personal with the animals in the Galapagos Islands.

Ashley Diaz, DVM

Ashley joined the Animal Medical Clinic in 2013. She received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Ashley has a special interest in feline medicine and is working towards getting Animal Medical Clinic certified as an AAFP Cat Friendly Practice. In her freetime Ashley enjoys spending time at home with her husband, two rescue dogs, and four rescue cats.

Lauren - Practice Manager

Lauren grew-up at dog shows. She bred and showed Chihuahuas, and also worked for a professional handler for 5 years, showing working and herding breeds. During high school, she worked in the kennel at a veterinary clinic. After finishing her Bachelor's degree, she worked as veterinary technician for 3.5 year before returning to school to complete her M.S in Counseling. She then spent 3 years at the Center for Public Policy and Social Research at Central Connecticut State University, as a Research Specialist before returning to veterinary medicine. Prior to joining AMC In May 2017, she was the practice manager at a veterinary cardiology office for 6 years. And, while she no longer shows and breeds dogs, she is still active in the dog show community and a member of multiple dog clubs. She is also licensed to judge four toy breeds and Junior Showmanship. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, son, and two cats (Brutus and Nefertiti).

Kristen - Veterinary Nurse

Kristen joined the Animal Medical Clinic family in September 2016. She graduated from Becker College with an Associates in Veterinary Technology. She has spent three years in the field, learning about companion animal care, and even getting some hands on experience with bovine. Kristen loves getting out and exploring, spending time with her family and friends, and getting her hands dirty with projects!

 Kari-- Veterinary Nurse

Kari joined the AMC team in the fall of 2017. Kari is an avid beagle lover and horseback rider. She has shown all over CT and NY, and has won many championships with her horse "Benny". She has 2 dogs, a beagle-mix and a pit-mix that she likes to hike with. When she's not at work, you can find her camping, hiking, or relaxing with her dogs and kitten.

 Jenn - Veterinary Nurse

Jenn is a big animal lover and advocate with 10 years of experience in the animal field. Jenn obtained her bachelor's degree in science from Post University in 2008, and attended a semester at Ross University in St. Kitts. She is also a United States Marine Corp Veteran. Her home is filled with fur babies of the 4 legged kind which are 3 cats, and a dog. She also has a toddler. Jenn enjoys spending time doing adventures with her wife and son, or just staying home with the full house relaxing and making memories to last a life time.

Sue- Receptionist

Sue joined the Animal Medical Clinic team in the fall, 2008. She graduated from Porter & Chester School of Business and attended Manchester Community College. As a huge asset to our team she has taken on multiple different duties here. Everyone seems to know Sue.  Sue breeds and shows great danes in conformation. She is also a member of the local Great Dane club and is currently the Treasurer. Sue shares her home with 4 black Great Danes! She has 1 son and 1 daughter, and has two beautiful grandchildren who she enjoys spending time with. When Sue is not with us she loves traveling and enjoying every day to the fullest.

Dawn - Receptionist

Dawn joined the Animal Medical Clinic team July 2016. Dawn has worked in the veterinary field for 20 years. She loves getting to know about clients and their pets. Dawn owns a charming lab mix, Brinkley, and a growing black lab, Stanley, who loves chewing on her shoes. Dawn is an avid football fan, especially for her son's team- the local Manchester Knights. When she's not loving the patients as they come in the door, you can usually find her at the field, helping out the team. She's a proud mother of 3, two daughters and her son. She also is full of love for her new grandson, Keith Michael! Congratulations!

Emily - Kennel Assistant

Emily joined the Animal Medical Clinic team Fall 2013.  It's hard to find a time when Emily isn't in the company of an animal. She loves the boarders and patients at AMC, but then goes home to her three cats (Draco, Axel, & GIlbert), the four family cats, and the family dog, Nina. She has a not so secret love for books and video games.

Savannah - Kennel Assistant

Savannah joined the AMC team May 2017. She's a a farm girl at heart and has been raising animals her whole life. She's worked a few years in a veterinary setting too!  She's starting her pre-veterinary studies at UConn Fall 2017.

 Mikaela - Kennel Assistant

Mikaela is an animal lover, and has worked on a farm for 3 years. She went to Manchester Community College for veterinary assisting. She has 3 fur babies at home (Bailey, Spitz, and Ruby), that keep her on her toes! In her free time, Mikaela likes to spend time with her large family and friends, as well as going to the beach, and road trips.

Renee - Kennel Assistant 

Renee joined the Animal Medical Clinic team June 2016. Renee is a student at Lasell College in Boston, where she's studying Athletic Training. She loves adventure, doing a lot of travel with both friends and family. She loves her family pets though, and shares that passion for animal care with the patients at AMC. She joins the team every winter and summer, getting her hands dirty in the field.
